Hudson Valley Dance Festival
For three years I co-produced the Hudson Valley Dance Festival, a multi-day site specific dance festival in a 19th century warehouse that we converted into a stunning modern dance venue for 1000+ guests which raised over $300k for Dancers Responding Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The festivals featured six world premieres and has featured the talent of Paul Taylor Dance Company, The Washington Ballet, Wendy Whelan, 10 Hairy Legs, Joshua Beamish/MOVETHECOMPANY, Doug Varone and Dancers, Omari Wiles, Les Ballet Afrik, Gallim, Dance Lab New York, Larry Keigwin, Josh Prince, Rioult Dance NY, Ricky Ubeda, Marcel Gomes, and Ray Mercer.
The money raised has helped ensure that those living with HIV/AIDS, COVID-19 and other critical illnesses in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., receive life-saving medications, nutritious meals, counseling and emergency financial assistance. The generosity also supports organizations working toward social justice and anti-racism. Grants were also given to 13 Hudson Valley organizations to support the local community.
