For three years I co-produced the Fire Island Dance Festival, a multi-day site specific outdoor dance festival which raised over $1.5 million for Dancers Responding Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Each year I led a team of 100+ volunteers as we built a massive outdoor venue from scratch over a pool deck on Fire Island Pines that hosted 1000+ annual attendees. During COVID, we pivoted to host the first ever Virtual Fire Island Dance Festival which raised nearly $300k with 5,000+ global viewers. 

Each year I project managed the entire 120 page program in print with full event information and 110 custom ads we designed for donors as well as major corporate sponsors including DIRECTV, The New York Times, Swarovski, MAC Cosmetics, Bud Light and Absolut. 

The festivals featured ten world premieres and has featured the talent of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, MOMIX, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Christopher Wheeldon, James Whiteside, Joel Grey, Jerry Mitchell, Robbie Fairchild Kyle Abraham, Stephen Petronio, Chase Brock, Al Blackstone, Michelle Dorrance, Camille A. Brown, Ayodele Casel, and Nathan Lee Graham. 

The money raised has helped ensure that those living with HIV/AIDS, COVID-19 and other critical illnesses in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., receive life-saving medications, nutritious meals, counseling and emergency financial assistance. The generosity also supports organizations working toward social justice and anti-racism
